Clay Vocabulary
Plastic- soft and pliable. Leather- not fired, you can still make changes to this art work. Wedge- to remove the air. Bisque- first firing. Slip- a mixture of clay and water used to join clay together. Kiln- where the clay is fired. Score- lines to help join the clay together.
I have been teaching 7th and 8th grade art at Bala Cynwyd Middle School for twelve years. I am a technology mentor for other teachers. My family includes my husband, a blues musician, my college age children Maya and Jesse, my grandson Damian, and Teo, my dog.
Before teaching at BC I taught college for many years.
